Miami-based Radio Unica will broadcast Mexican President Vincente Fox’s weekly address beginning in June. Officials of the Spanish-language network stated the decision is reflective of current U.S.-Mexican ties.
Approximately 35 million Hispanics, an estimated 60 percent of Mexican origin, live in the United States, primarily in cities to which Radio Unica’s signal is transmitted via its affiliates.
Radio Unica already broadcasts President Bush’s weekly address.
