RadioDNS To Hold 9th General Assembly

Takes place Feb. 10 at the European Broadcasting Union in Geneva

The RadioDNS General Assembly is slated to take place on Feb. 10 at the European Broadcasting Union in Geneva, Switzerland.

This year’s meeting will be divided into two parts: A morning session from 10 a.m.– 1

p.m. for RadioDNS members to discuss the strategic direction of the organization and 2015 plans, and an afternoon session from 2–5 p.m., which is open to everyone interested in the development of hybrid radio.

The afternoon session will highlight successes for hybrid radio in 2014 and look at this year’s projects. The session will include information on Project Logo, under which RadioDNS is working with broadcaster organizations to publish metadata for thousands of stations. It will also give an overview of the RadioDNS Test and Demonstration Platform, which the organization says, permits manufacturers to automate device testing and broadcasters/service providers to verify that their platforms are outputting content correctly.

The event will also cover new technical standards such as RadioTAG and RadioWEB.
