He started at Noticiero Univision in 1986, as one of the youngest national anchors ever, a release said. Ramos has covered national and international stories and interviewed world leaders, including four U.S. presidents.

NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith said, “For nearly 30 years Jorge Ramos has been one of America’s leading broadcast journalists, establishing himself as one of the most recognized and respected figures in Hispanic television … In honor of his positive contributions to broadcasting, we are delighted to present Mr. Ramos with the Distinguished Service Award.”

Ramos will receive the award at the NAB show’s opening keynote session, the morning of April 7.
