You think of him as a radio guy, but Randy Michaels has broader fields to play on now at Tribune Co.; and as an offshoot of that recent career move, he has now been appointed to the NAB Television Board.
Michaels fills the “at large” seat left vacant when board member Bob Lee of Schurz Communications retired last December.
Michaels was named CEO for Tribune in December 2007. Just prior to taking the post at Tribune, he was the chief executive for Local TV LLC, a company created through his work with Oak Hill Capital Partners.
