SBE Certification Will Be Offered at AES Show

It’s part of the growth of broadcast-related content at the convention

Aspiring broadcast engineers or those missing a professional credential will find an official Society of Broadcast Engineers Certification Exam session during the upcoming annual Audio Engineering Society convention in New York.

It will be conducted in cooperation with SBE Chapter 15 on Oct. 12 at the Javits Center, site of the convention.

AES Convention Broadcast Chair David Bialik stated, “We invited the SBE to take advantage of the growing contingent of engineers attending AES conventions.” He noted that this year’s show offers an expanded Broadcast and Streaming program, “which will be of particular interest to SBE Certification applicants.”

This is the first time a certification session has been coordinated with AES in New York. Tom Ray, chair of SBE Chapter 15, said the two organizations hope to create a “long, strong bond.”

AES registration is not required to participate in the exam, nor is SBE membership.
