The Society of Broadcast Engineers plans to hold its SBE Leadership Development Course in Atlanta on Aug. 2–4, 2023.
This three-day course explores the nature of broadcast engineering leadership, focusing on the differences between being a manager and a leader, how to build a winning team, communications insights and the importance of attitude in the leadership position.
The course will be run by Dr. Abram Walton, the founder of the management consulting and training firm Ivory Bridge Group, who is also a tenured professor of management at Florida Tech. Walton also serves as a U.S. Delegate for ISO 56000 on innovation management system standards.
The SBE course has been part of the SBE leadership development plan since 1997 and is designed specifically for broadcast engineers who aspire to have management responsibilities.
