SCBA Interactive Sales Training Program to Start in September

“SBCA Certified” program caters specifically to southern California radio

The Southern California Broadcasters Association will hold the fall 2013 Southern California Broadcasters University Radio Sales Training Classes beginning Sept. 23, in Los Angeles.

“Based largely on our General Sales Managers Council’s input, these courses will focus on a variety of topics such as new business development, the art of cold calling, understanding radio and will also feature recent graduates of the program who have gone on to great success in their respective sales careers here in Southern California,” said SCBA President Thom Callahan.

“Our new SCBU sales training courses are a must for any new seller to our business or someone who wants to sharpen their skills or needs a refresher course in selling their radio and digital platforms,” said General Sales Manager Council Chairperson, Amber Perry, who is also GSM of KRTH(FM) in L.A. “As a graduate of these sales training classes, I can tell you it works!”

Upon graduation from SCBA’s 10-week course, each seller will receive a professional designation (“SCBU-Certified”), which will indicate sales knowledge helpful to their clients and prospects seeking assistance with their advertising challenges.
