The ESPNRadio.com sports radio portal has added an audio search feature.
It is designed to locate up to 25 of the most recent sound bites related to the search. The parameters depend on proper tagging of the clips.
“Beginning this week,” it stated, “the biggest news headlines and topics will be time-stamped within the digital audio segments, allowing automatic access to the start of a specific search topic, keeping the content relevant, to-the-point and easy for fans to consume.”
News, articles, columns, videos and photos also are searchable.
ESPNRadio.com made the announcement along with noting that its site continue to grow. It said it reached its highest total unique audience with 1.62 million in October, and that podcast downloads were up nearly 30 percent to 15 million, the organization’s highest for a one-month period.
