Maybe it has something to do with the fact that he has three songs with the word “fire” in the title. Or maybe he just has a soft spot for a good cause in his hometown.
Whatever his motivation, singer-songwriter Bob Seger responded to a plea to help out Detroit’s Ladder Company 22.
Due to theft, the firehouse recently lost a second set of saws, which are used to breach roofs to release heat during a fire. The saws are worth $2,000 and were taken while the company was in action at a fire site.
Greater Media station WCSX(FM)’s concerned morning hosts resolved to call up Seger and request a donation.
Instead, Seger made a right move by buying the saws himself for the firehouse.
