The event, held in Jakarta from Sept. 24–27, focuses on new digital audio broadcasting (DAB+) technology.
The workshop will provide information on digital radio implementation of DAB+, which has been adopted in more than 40 countries, its transmission technology and a comparison of its against analog FM broadcast.
The Minister for Communications and Technology of Indonesia will give the opening address, and other speakers will include regional senior representatives from RRI, Sharad Sadhu, director of technology at the ABU and WorldDMB Asia Pacific chair.
