Chuck Silber has been promoted to chief operating officer at NewTek. He also will become a member of the NewTek board of directors.
Silber had been senior vice president of sales. His new duties will encompass sales, marketing, strategic development, content development, customer and support services.
NewTek President and CEO Jim Plant said: “NewTek has seen significant growth and profitability over the last three years under Chuck’s management of the sales department and channel partners.”
The company makes portable production and video gear, some of which is used by radio stations and others to create online video content.
Before joining NewTek, Silber had been vice president of sales for Avid Technology.
