Sirius ‘Gets’ Hockey, DVD Pioneer

Sirius 'Gets' Hockey, DVD Pioneer

Sirius will air up to 40 National Hockey League games each week during the NHL season, beginning Oct. 8 and continuing through the Stanley Cup Finals.
The broadcasts will be available to all subscribers at no additional cost. Sirius also signed on as an official corporate marketing partner of the league. Play-by-play hockey broadcasts will be carried live across a variety of Sirius streams including 124, 125 and 126.
Also at Sirius, the man some call the “architect of the DVD” has joined Sirius’ board of directors. Warren Lieberfarb earned the DVD moniker during the nearly 20 years he spent at Warner Home Video. He became president of the division since 1984. Lieberfarb began his career at Paramount Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox where he helped develop pay television, home video and cable.
