The MiniPod Maxx by Henry Engineering is a new and improved version of the original MiniPod, the industry’s first “daisy-chainable” headphone system.
According to the company, the new Maxx version produces 400% of the output level of the original unit, providing extended headroom and audiophile-grade performance. “The new design eliminates all electrolytic capacitors in the audio path for exceptional transient response, solid bass, and ultra-low distortion,” said Henry.
Multiple MiniPod Maxx units can be daisy-chained to create a multi-user system. Cat-5 cabling will distribute power and audio to all units in the system, eliminating the need for multiple power supplies and audio DAs. Each MiniPod Maxx is a separate headphone amplifier, so any combination of headphone types can be used without interaction between units.
The MiniPod Maxx is compatible with the original unit and with Henry Engineering “Pod” products. It’s the same size as the original MiniPod and can be mounted to a tabletop or to the underside of a counter. MiniPod Maxx is available from Henry Engineering dealers.
