Sirius and Kenwood are rolling out the satcaster’s first home radio in October. Radio World first brought readers this news in January from CES. The Kenwood DT-7000S, allows consumers to play Sirius’ 100 streams of digital entertainment over home audio systems. The Kenwood DT-7000S will retail for $299.99 and includes the capability to display and catalogue the names of songs and artists.
Antex Electronics is introducing Sirius’ unit designed for use in multi-room and in multi-zone audio systems. The three-zone Sirius receiver, SRX-3 TriplePlay, consolidates multiple tuners into a single component, allowing listeners in different rooms to play different Sirius streams simultaneously over a single distributed audio system. The SRX-3, suitable for home or commercial use, will be available in November and will list for $1,695.
