Sirius to Be in Fords; Also Touts Baseball, NPR

Ford Motor Co. and Sirius are offering Sirius as a dealer-installed option for $329 plus installation and tax on 10 Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles in the 2004 model year. Some factory-equipped radio head units have a dedicated Sirius button on the faceplate.
In programming news for Sirius, the satcaster is carrying play-by-play coverage of Major League Baseball’s Divisional Series, League Championship Series and World Series on ESPN Radio, stream 120, in the 2003 post-season. Coverage begins Sept. 30.
Also, “Day to Day,” the afternoon news magazine from NPR, debuts on Sirius and airs on NPR Now, Stream 106, Monday-Friday, 3 to 4 p.m. Eastern. Alex Chadwick hosts the new program, w produced at NPR’s new west coast facility in Los Angeles.
