Sound Box studio automation software from Beaumont Colson Ltd. is at the heart of one of the most popular radio stations in Kosovo, Galaxia Radio.
Galaxia Radio is operated by NATO KFOR troops and was established to help rebuild local media and to provide impartial news and information to the local population.
The consultancy Sound Facilities, has worked with U.K. Psyops and NATO to provide radio services in Kosovo and Bosnia and Hercegovina, contracted Procass Audio Services Ltd. to find a suitable hard disk system for the station.
“We needed a reliable, easy-to-use solution that would be able to maintain playout when the studio was unmanned,” said Paul Robbins of Procass Audio Services. “It needed to be able to schedule program material either in the studio or remotely. Sound Box provided the complete solution.”
Gordon Crosthwaite, director of Beaumont Colson, said, “Ease of use, power and versatility are what we are aiming for. Galaxia Radio demonstrates the reliability of Sound Box.”
