NTi Audio will conduct a free webinar called “Basics of Sound Level Measurements.”
The 30-minute webinar will be a primer covering the basics. A release states, “The results of sound level measurements are influenced by various physical effects. Therefore, the operator should know and understand the basics of sound propagation, reflection and absorption as well as the meaning of the values obtained and how these values correlate with the human sense of hearing.”
It adds, “With this knowledge, measurement errors can be avoided, improving the quality of the measurement results and ensuring their correct interpretation.”
The interactive webinar has several classes Nov. 20–21. On Nov. 20, there’ll be two English-language classes, starting at 12:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Eastern. There’ll also be a German-language class at 8 a.m. On Nov. 21, there’ll be two English classes — one starting at 11 a.m. and the other at 1 p.m.
