Spotify enjoyed lots of buzz when it rolled out the ability to play music timed to a runner’s tempo.
It was available for iPhone at first; now the feature has begun rolling out to Android users.
Spotify Running finds the user’s running tempo and plays music to match it. It also offers playlists of favorite running music and genres, as well as new music “that’s made for running.”
According to a Spotify help page, the default tempo is 165 beats per minute, which the user can adjust.
