Staffers and volunteers from Star 99.1 and Passione Legwear gathered on Dec. 2 to pack and ship the socks to 15 area charities. According to WAWZ, recipient charities included New Jersey Battered Women’s Shelter of Morris County, The NYC Relief Bus, Good News Home for Women, Flemington, N.J., Gateway Church, Morganville, N.J. (for Hurricane Sandy victims) and Womanspace Battered Women’s Shelter of Mercer County, N.J.
WAWZ Star 99.1 GM Scott Taylor said, “We appreciate [Passione Legwear owner] Sharon Thorpe for her vision and passion. We consider her a great friend and are privileged to partner with her in this unique service to thousands of women in our area this Christmas!”
