Radio sessions are part of an upcoming event aimed at young people in New York.
The National Student Media Convention will be held March 18-20 at the Roosevelt Hotel. It is sponsored by College Media Advisers, with broadcast sessions developed by Collegiate Broadcasters Inc.
Approximately 1,200 students and advisers are expected.
Among the radio sessions, topics include the future of streaming, how to get a job with a record company, radio news reporting and college radio organizational issues.
Radio producer and Radio World columnist Alan Peterson will offer two sessions, “Radio Production for the Digital Age” and “Creative Job Strategies for Radio.”
