Texas Radio Hall of Fame Launches 2025 Scholarship Program

The deadline to apply is Sept. 17

The Texas Radio Hall of Fame (TRHOF) is now accepting applications for its 2025 scholarship program, offering individual grants of $1,000 to Texas college or university students pursuing degrees related to broadcasting.

The deadline for submissions is Sept. 17. Scholarship winners will be determined by a review board working with the scholarship underwriters. Winners will be announced by Sept. 29.

According to TRHOF, eligible students must be currently enrolled in a Texas college, university, art/trade institute or community college, and participating in classes that would support a career in broadcasting. Acceptable degree programs include communications, broadcasting, broadcast journalism, broadcast production, radio-television-film and sales and marketing, provided that the associated curriculum includes training connected to radio.

All scholarship recipients will be honored during a reception on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, at the Texas Museum of Broadcasting in Kilgore, Texas. Organizers note that several of the scholarships are awarded in the name of TRHOF inductees, including Kidd Kraddick, Bill Moffett, Lee Woods, Henry “Pepsi” Pena, Mike Edmonds and Rudy Trevino.
