With a title loosely translated as “The Joking Baboon,” the program is the work of comedian Ricardo Sanchez, also known as the Baboon.
It airs 5–10 a.m. PT weekdays, and resembles a late-night TV show with interviews, comedy and hit music. However, the program is described as “family-friendly.”
Sanchez began his career with a Tijuana station before being recruited to L.A.’s KLAX(FM), where his career took off.
According to a release, the program airs on 13 stations, including nine of Entravision’s La Tricolor regional Mexican format. It also airs on Spanish Broadcasting System stations in two markets. The syndication is offered on a market-exclusive basis. The syndication is being handled by Entravision’s Spanish-language arm, LER.
