They Say They Want a Streaming Revolution

The Webcaster Alliance is starting what it calls the American Internet Radio Revolution, or AIRR, campaign. George Bundy, CEO of BRS Media and secretary of the group, said members want to educate listeners and legislators on Webcasting issues and reform the CARP process.
“For the first time since BRS Media began tracking Internet radio back in 1995, U.S.-based stations now represent less than 50% of the stations Webcasting online, and in the last year alone, well over 1,000 U.S. stations have quit broadcasting online,” he stated. The group plans a campaign of banner ads, PSAs and an industry letter on the future of streaming media.
