Two stations in Massachussetts and one in Atlanta top the list of regional winners of the Edward R. Murrow Awards for excellence in electronic journalism, given by the Radio-Television News Directors Association.
RTNDA received 2,680 regional entries, up 305 from last year and 741 from the year before. Judges gave 517 awards to 248 stations in 13 categories.
Top winners included WATD(FM) in Marshfield, Mass., WBUR(FM) in Boston and WSB(AM) in Atlanta, each with eight awards.
