Today is the deadline to submit your name as a speaker at the 2012 Consumer Electronic Show.
Some of the expected session topics include smart appliances and prime time, the evolving user interface, cars online, the quest for longer lasting batteries and the “consumerization of IT.”
Next year’s annual show of the Consumer Electronics Association is set for Jan. 10–13 in Las Vegas. The deadline to submit a speaker form is 5 p.m. EDT.
In May, CEA announced that 31,677 people from outside the U.S. attended the 2011 International CES this January — up 30 percent from last year.
It said overall attendance at this year’s show was 149,529.
Separately, CEA said Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will again give the preshow keynote address, according to TWICE magazine. Ballmer gave his first CES preshow keynote in 2006. Previously, the duty had been held by Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
