News on the international broadcast front: Jeffrey Trimble was named executive director of the Broadcasting Board of Governors.
He’ll advise the board and manage BBG staff. He had been director of programming. BBG’s broadcast pieces include VOA, Radio & TV Martí, Alhurra, Radio Sawa, Radio Free Asia and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
He comes out of RFE/RL, where he was acting president, director of broadcasting and a programs and policy executive.
Jan Brambilla moves on to become BBG’s director of management planning, “to increase coordination on management and personnel issues and the exchange of information with the IBB, VOA, OCB, RFE/RL, RFA and MBN,” according to a BBG spokeswoman.
