Internet and mobile device audio portal TuneIn has had a recent string of news announcements concerning content additions. The company isn’t resting on its laurels.
Currently, TuneIn is running a Wimbledon Channel. The 24/7 channel, produced by IMG World, provides live match commentary along with news, interviews and rebroadcasts of top matches. It’s TuneIn’s first channel done directly with a sports program producer.
TuneIn has also announced a deal with comedian Adam Carolla’s Carolla Digital production company, producers of “The Adam Carolla Show” in addition to comedic programming from Carolla and others such as Penn Jillette and Larry Miller. The agreement will make many of the podcasts available to TuneIn listeners.
Maddy Agopian, head of ad sales and marketing for Carolla Digital said, “TuneIn is an excellent way to give our shows broad distribution to anyone with a mobile phone or Internet connection.”
“The Adam Carolla Show” is the most popular comedy podcast and second-most popular podcast in the iTunes App Store, according to the companies.
