Turner: 'This Isn't Over.'

CNN founder Ted Turner and now shareholder of AOL opposes more concentration expected if TV ownership caps are relaxed by the FCC. “If a young media entrepreneur were trying to get started today under these proposed rules, he or she wouldn’t be able to buy a UHF station, as I did. They’re all bought up,” states Turner in an editorial in the Washington Post.
The media ownership debate won’t be over after Monday’s vote by the commission, he asserts. “Congress has the power to amend the rule changes. Members of both parties oppose the new rules.”
