Emmis has uploaded a video to its website detailing the updates to its NextRadio app.
The updated features include a visual tuning interface called LiveGuide that displays all the stations in a market by album art or custom schedule content, we’ve reported.
The updated app is slated for release on Oct. 17 in Google Play for smartphones equipped with an FM chip.
The NextRadio app is available for use with 29 smartphones and one tablet on the Sprint Network, as well as new HTC smartphones on all major wireless carrier networks.
According to the latest stats from Emmis, consumers have used the app to tune to over 10,400 FM stations and there have been some 1,190,000 hours of listening through NextRadio, up 20% from last month, according to the broadcaster.
