On April 14, Walter Van Nostrand III passed away in Jackson, Ga. He was 87.
Van Nostrand ran the family business, VNRES, a frequency measurement services company from 1949–2013. The company was active in the Southeast region and as far north as Kentucky.
According to an obituary, he was also involved in the construction of radio studios in Atlanta and Nashville.
Van Nostrand served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He had a technical education and graduated from Tech High School in Atlanta and Georgia Tech.
