Westwood One–Dave Ross Partnership Turns 25

Show distributed to more than 200 stations nationwide

This new year marks the 25th anniversary year of the partnership between radio program syndicator Westwood One and “The Dave Ross Show.”

“From thought-provoking commentary to satire and entertainment, Dave Ross is the best of what radio is,” said Westwood One Executive Vice President of News and Talk Bart Tessler.

Ross did some reflecting of his own, saying, “Every day I face a blank screen and think, this will be the commentary that will finally make sense of it all. I had no idea it would take more than 25 years.”

Ross joined KIRO(FM) in 1978 as a news anchor, after a four year stint reporting for WSB(TV) in Atlanta. In 1987, he began hosting his own talk show and, since 2012, he has been the host of “Seattle’s Morning News with Dave Ross.” In addition to his Westwood One commentary, Ross also guest hosts with the longtime CBS newsman, Charles Osgood, on “The Osgood File.”

Ross is a recipient of the 2001, 2005, 2008, and 2011 Edward R. Murrow Awards for Commentary and has been recognized with a Marconi nomination.

“The Dave Ross Show”is syndicated by Westwood One on more than 200 stations nationwide.
