CBS Radio-owned WINS(AM) in New York City chose TrafficLand video service for its Web site.
WINS Tim McAteer tells me it had the most cameras (264), and the site is customized, using cameras for each region the station serves, including the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan and New Jersey. The live video streams are updated about once each second.
Why soup up the traffic for the Web site? “This is our branding,” McAteer said, for WINS’ “Traffic on the Ones” 24-hours a day.
1010 WINS uses Shadow Traffic for its on-air reports.
