The National Association of Broadcasters will recognize Washington, D.C.-based station WTOP(FM) with the NAB Crystal Heritage Award.
The Heritage Award honors stations that have won five Crystal Radio Awards for exceptional community service. Only six other stations have received this honor in the award’s three-decade history.
“WTOP has served the Washington, DC region for 48 years, and our commitment to the community along the way has never wavered,” said Hubbard Radio DC Senior Regional VP Joel Oxley, quoted in the announcement.
Radio stations can submit Crystal Radio Award entries through the end of the month.
The award will be presented April 10, during the 2018 NAB Show in Las Vegas at a new event called the We Are Broadcasters Celebration.
NAB Show will be held April 7-12 in Las Vegas.
