Tieline said ViA Duo bridges a gap between field reporting and live commentary.
“Designed for reporters, commentators and remote production teams, it is an ultra-portable broadcast platform that functions as an IP codec, AoIP commentary node or off-tube production solution supporting both audio and video workflows,” it states.
For remotes broadcasts, power it up, connect to a network and go live; there’s no requirement for external mixers, outboard gear, processors or playback devices.
Audio processing, recording and playback are integrated into this compact unit. It can operate at venues connected to remote trucks or integrate into REMI-based production models, delivering AoIP protocols including Ravenna, Dante, AES67, ST 2110-30, Livewire and NMOS.
ViA Duo facilitates off-tube broadcasting by supporting audio and video streams over IP. This allows commentators to call events from location while maintaining low latency, broadcast-quality performance in real time.
Multiple layers of redundancy can be automated through Tieline’s SmartStream Plus hitless packet switching over multiple network interfaces.
