Audemat Expands Navigator HD Capabilities

Meanwhile, Goldeneagle line expands into DMB/mobile

Audemat‘s Navigator HD test and measurement system has been upgraded to multiband. The Navigator HD mobile meter measures AM, FM and IBOC signals. It is compatible with mapping software and Google Earth. The Navigator is also going to see a T-DMB/mobile broadcasting-optimized version. The portable Navigator DMB analyzes and measures T-DMB signals.

The Goldeneagle line of signal monitors also is getting into T-DMB with the Goldeneagle DAB/DMB monitor. The rack-mounted DMB model monitors up to 40 DAB, DAB+ or T-DMB signals. RF and ETI monitoring are basic with SFN Synchronization as an option. An Ethernet port can tie the Goldeneagle DAB/DMB into a network or the Internet for automation or remote operation.

For the TV crowd, the Goldeneagle ATSC can monitor up to 40 ATSC signals/MPEG 2 streams. Automated monitoring tools can generate e-mail alarm warnings. It is fully TCP/IP-compatible. An optional “field kit” with a GPS module allows the usually rack-mounted Goldeneagle ATSC to go mobile.

For use with both Audemat and Ecreso radio and television equipment, new this year is the Scripteasy open architecture control/monitoring software protocol. Companies such as Harris are partnering with Audemat for compatibility. Interface control applications for Harris’ Z series transmitters have already been written.
