BE Will Introduce AudioVault X

BE said AudioVault X will offer more capacity and flexibility for adding and personalizing format channels on the Internet or over the air.

(click thumbnail)Broadcast Electronics will have a new AudioVault platform for the show called AudioVault X.

It said the system is suitable for multi-channel, multi-venue radio operations. The new platform is built around an open automation model. Features include “double-donut” segues, personalized studio “mashups” and interactive talent collaboration.

BE said AudioVault X will offer more capacity and flexibility for adding and personalizing format channels on the Internet or over the air.

The double-donut segue editor allows voicetracking and localizing multiple stations from a centralized studio. “AudioVault X handles complex segues, such as inserting ‘donut’ tracks in the middle of a song, station ID or weathercast,” BE stated. “It can even do double donuts — that is, drop in a voice or other segment in the middle of a song or jingle twice.” Talent can manipulate fades, audio levels and other characteristics of segues.

The system has a better search engine and more tools to categorize and manage audio assets. BE said a multi-thread engine enables talent in separate studios to work off the same log in real time, and a station manager can access a moment-by-moment view of the show through a network interface.

Describing personalized studio “mashups,” BE said these combine studio tools and applications from more than one source into a single workspace.

“Announcers and producers can profile workspaces unique to each show, workstyle or for operational continuity throughout the studio environment. AudioVault X lets users pick and choose task icons from a large pallet of operating functions and define the number of decks, types of navigational lists, pane sizes, layout of functions and personalized ‘skins’ of background and color scheme preferences.”
