Digital Radio Mondiale has released an updated version of its DRM Handbook.
The 83-page resource was published in conjunction with the DRM General Assembly meeting in Indonesia this week. It is available in English and Chinese.
The book explains the application of DRM on transmission and receiving sites as well as its content possibilities, according to the organization.
“The update is more extensive than first envisaged and, besides the expected specification updates, and richer DRM trials and demonstrations list, version 6 shows improvements at a deeper level, too,” DRM stated in its announcement.

It said the book offers more examples and better descriptions of DRM Multichannel transmission; examples for AMSS, providing service signaling for analog AM services; and a description of the EWF Manager, the central component to integrate national alert systems with DRM Emergency Warning Functionality.
It also discusses revenue opportunities through Journaline via individual listener targeting, interactivity and audience engagement measurements; and regional profiles for local script support. And it provides support resources for receiver implementation.
