DocSoft is displaying its latest search technology, Element:A/V, unveiled at the spring NAB.
The company said it heard feedback from potential users at the spring convention that helped it develop a robust, easily used audio/video search tool.
DocSoft will showcase the ability to search “spoken” content within audio and video files, not just the metadata associated with the file. The company also will display a
feature for users to jump directly to the point of the A/V file where the word was spoken and play the file from that point.
It says users are not limited to searching across files by word or topic, they can choose to create a complete text transcript of any file with one click. DocSoft also included the display of time codes for all “utterances” or phrases that are spoken within the file.
