Pure Beauty at 7,300 Feet

For engineer Jeremy Preece, the climb to Keddie Peak comes with divine views

When it comes to the perks of maintaining FM tower sites, how else are you going to be able to take in a view like this?

Friend of Radio World, consulting engineer Jeremy Preece of Wavelength Technical Solutions, shared a photo he captured at an FM transmitter site on Keddie Peak in northeast California, approximately 55 miles northeast of Chico.

“Being the only human for miles around and taking in God’s beautiful creation from 7,300 feet above sea level is truly amazing,” Preece wrote on LinkedIn. “It’s just one reason I love being a radio engineer.”

The view looking toward Lake Almanor is breathtaking, too.
