TuneTracker Systems has launched a Mac-native broadcast automation suite called System 7, aimed at small and medium-market radio operations.
“The release marks the company’s transition from the Be Operating System and its open-source successor Haiku, where TuneTracker has run since 2001, to Apple Silicon and Intel-based Macs running macOS Ventura (13) or later,” the company said.
A free tier is available, intended for community stations, colleges, LPFMs and internet broadcasters. It includes AutoCast automation and live-assist playout; ClockWork format clock designer and music scheduling; and Librarian music library management with audio transition markers.
Two paid tiers offer expanded capabilities.
The Basic version costs a one-time fee of $299 and adds SignalCaster streaming and unlimited library size.
The Pro tier costs $999 and also adds commercial traffic integration, switcher control for satellite programming, and a time and temperature package.
Founder Dane Scott said in the announcement, “When we launched TuneTracker 25 years ago for BeOS, our goal was to be the alternative to all the Windows-based systems. We stayed with BeOS, and then with its successor Haiku, but we feel the time has come to make the Mac our new ‘think different’ home.”
