Lawo’s virtual radio mixer software, Rɘlay, is now shipping. The mixing software gives any laptop or desktop computer an entire studios worth of broadcast gear.
The Rɘlay software uses a multi-touch interface showing the familiar look of an audio mixer while behind the scenes, software apps from Rɘlay partners supply virtualized codecs, phone hybrids, audio processors, cross-point routers and streaming encoders.
Rɘlay comes in a variety of bundles to suit the desired use, like situations where grab-and-go remote kits are needed or fast setup of on-location studios and webcasting.
Bundles include the Rɘlay VRX4 (four-fader mixer) and the VRX8 (eight-fader mixer) software, paired with a compact Lawo OnAir 4 audio interface to supply mic, line, AES3 and Ravenna/AES67 I/O.
