For the electronic network do-it-yourselfer, L-Com is like the old Radio Shack in some ways.
The latest in hard-to-find parts: USB B connectors.
The B is not the flat “tongue” connector but rather the six-sided connector. It’s less well-known than the seemingly ubiquitous A connector and is used when electrical power might be needed. It sometimes teams with an A when used with items like printers.
L-Com now has a female B connector flange (ECF504-xxBBS) designed to mount as a coupler.
At the end of a cable is the continuing male connector for internal connection or pass-through. An unterminated version is also available (ECF504-B-5M). The connectors are USB 2.0-compliant.
