OMT to Demo HDNow Multicast Programming Service

OMT to Demo HDNow Multicast Programming Service

OMT Technologies said it will debut HDNow, which provides HD multicast broadcasters with a turnkey system to handle programming and content.
Stations can create multicast programs by accessing a music library with 150,000 music titles or 100 programmed channels in various music formats. Multiple HD channels can be remotely managed from a central location to include customizable music, liner and commercial content relevant to each market.
“[As] we are in the early years of this new technology, stations are looking for a turnkey solution that can provide quality programming content, scheduling and promo spots on one workstation,” said Ron Paley of OMT. This system, he said, “helps stations launch their HD multicast without the substantial capital costs of traditional radio station equipment and operations.”
