Radioplayer is showcasing a new prototype for radio in the connected car at the NAB Show.
It previewed the prototype at Radiodays Europe 2025; this marks its North American debut.
“Designed on the backbone of partnerships with leading car manufacturers — and owned by the radio industry itself — the solution addresses key challenges in the modern dashboard: content discovery, metadata quality and platform control,” the organization said in a press release.
“Radioplayer will highlight how the prototype helps radio remain visible, accessible and relevant — on broadcaster terms. Broadcasters retain control of their content, branding and audience relationships.”
In particular, the organization highlighted the prototype’s approach to content discovery.
“In a dashboard shaped by tiles, touchscreens and voice search, discovery is increasingly how listeners interact with radio. Radioplayer’s solution allows users to search, browse and explore based on content — not just station names — and then links them directly into each broadcaster’s own content universe, whether that’s live radio, catch-up shows, podcasts or streaming apps.”
Radioplayer is owned by broadcasters in 23 countries and brings together approximately 10,000 stations globally.
