BE Launches ETX FM Transmitters

Highlights its compact design and combination of Elenos and BE technologies

Broadcast Electronics has introduced a compact FM transmitter line called ETX.

It said they combine characteristics of the Elenos ETG and BE STX families and are available in power levels from 500 watts to 5 kW.

“ETX leverages capabilities from the company’s popular BE STX line and the cost-effective Elenos ETG transmitters to deliver world class efficiency, exceptional RF performance and ability to sharply reduce costs associated with operational expense and maintenance,” it said. Elenos is BE’s parent company.

The transmitters use compact RF technology from the ETG series, upgraded with ruggedized LDMOS RF devices, and provide efficiency of up to 75%.

Features include a digital direct-to-channel FM modulator, hot-pluggable power supplies, LCD screen, navigation buttons and LED indicators.

“The RJ-45 port allows you to connect to the intuitive and powerful HTML-5 GUI and SNMP from anywhere in the world. Programmable parallel GPI/O interface provides connectivity to a traditional remote-control system.”

Available options include multiband audio processing software with composite clipper, off-air receiver for FM and HD Radio, and integrated AoIP solutions including AES-67, Icecast or μMPX.

The ETX line can support FM single-frequency network deployments and backup options like N+1.
