WorldCast Systems has introduced Ecreso SwitchOver, a control unit designed for RF switching, telemetry and site monitoring across broadcast transmission networks.

Combining technology from the company’s Ecreso RF transmission line and Audemat monitoring offerings, SwitchOver manages primary and standby transmitter redundancy and provides local and remote site visibility, WorldCast said in a release.

The unit includes dual power supplies to prevent single-point power failures. In the event of a control unit failure, connected transmitters remain in their active state to prevent signal loss.

The Ecreso SwitchOver supports HTTPS communication, SNMPv3 and user management with configurable access permissions.

WorldCast added that the platform has undergone an independent security audit to verify protection against cyber threats.

On the hardware side, built-in safety loops work with RF switches to block unsafe switching configurations.

The SwitchOver uses an HTML5 web interface modeled after the Ecreso AiO Series graphical user interface, with navigation logic intended to make etup and multi-site deployment simpler for engineers.

Its integrated scheduler also allows operators to automate switching sequences and control tasks.
