The Prontonet IP dual audio multiformat codec from ATA Audio offers two independent encoders and decoders; uncompressed bi-directional audio over IP; an LAN interface 10/100 Base-T Ethernet for control and audio transmission; and Dolby E transmission over IP by using AES/EBU I/O in transparent mode.
It supports algorithms including G711, G722, MPEG 1/2 Layer II, MPEG 1/2 Layer III, MPEG 2/4 AAC LC, MPEG 4 LD and apt-X.
Prontonet has a standard ISDN 1-BRI universal terminal adapter (U or S/T); two independent RS-232 ports for auxiliary data in MPEG modes; an X21 port for synchronous data transmission links; and eight remote contact closures. The Automatic Backup option establishes a backup link using ISDN at 64 or 128 kbps under communication loss of either X21 or Ethernet links.
The company also will show the Scoop-EZ over Inmarsat, which delivers audio using the BGAN Inmarsat terminal. It can be used over ISDN or IP, with coding algorithms of G.722 and MPEG.
