Croatia Gets New DAB+ Mux Network

ZAGREB, Croatia �A test of a new DAB+ multiplex transmitter network started on Nov. 20�in Croatia. At least four transmitters are operating, in Sljeme, Ivan�cica, Mirkovica and Ucka. The signals provide coverage of ?the City of Zagreb and eight counties: Zagreb, Krapina-Zagorje, Vara�din, Medimurje, Karlovac and Sisak-Moslavina and Primorsko-goranska and Istarska County. The mux network carries 16 radio stations and will reach more than two million listeners, according to tportal.hr.�

Since this is a test period, conventional FM signals will continue, though on FM �…there is no room for new broadcasters. The digital signal will enable new broadcasters to work, and expand existing and up-to-date content,” said Minister of Sea, Transport and Infrastructure�Oleg Butkovic in the same article.�
