iHeartMedia Takes Ownership Stake in Australia’s Voicebyte

Voice-recording app lets end-users record voices through mobile devices and then forwards the comments to producers

NEW YORK VoiceByte, the Australian-founded voice-recording app, lets end-users record voices through mobile devices and then forwards the comments to producers, creating a more interactive media experience.

iHeartMedia will take a part-ownership stake in the app and will implement the technology on two Ryan Seacrest programs, American Top 40 and On Air With Ryan Seacrest, according to pollstar.com.

The company is also working on a patent-pending dashboard to streamline the flow of audio files and data relating to sentiment and location to producers.

We believe your voice is the most powerful instrument in the world and we wanted to give the audience a tool to help them use that instrument to express themselves and literally be a part of the show, the startups CEO and co-founder Michael Fenech said.
