In the UK, Cars With DAB Reaches High, Analysts Say

Over the last three months, 92.4% of new cars were sold with DAB as standard equipment

LONDON — According to data from industry analysts CAP and The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, more cars than ever are being sold in the UK with DAB as standard equipment, growing to 92.4% of new cars sold in the last three months. 2.2 million new cars with DAB have been sold in the last 12 months.

Vehicle manufacturers made the decision to outfit digital radio in new cars in response to the increasing popularity of digital radio and the expansion of the DAB transmitter network that now covers more of the major road network in the UK.
